Robert T. Kiyosaki and Sharon L. Lechter
Having been raised in an environment that valued academic success and saw that as the best way to social and financial success, I was always wary of business and enterprise and saw it as a risky way to live. I never thought that I could succeed at it, because I felt that I was “too soft” to go into business. But this book opened my eyes to a new way of looking at money and the way it can be earned. When I looked back at my life, I saw that I did actually have many qualities that would enable me to succeed in business; apart from being a risk-taker I have also now have developed many skills that would be useful in the business world. You don’t have to be born into a business culture to succeed at it; If Colonel Saunders can start his most famous enterprise at 65, there’s hope for many of us yet! This book encouraged me to see that success in business is based on the determination to succeed, being confident in your own abilities, a lot of hard work, a dollop of luck and Allah opening the doors for you.
As well as being a good story-teller – as that is apparently what this book is, a good story to illustrate the ideas - Kiyosaki gives a wealth of simple, practical, and straightforward advice and principles that anyone can adopt to improve their financial literacy and management...it’s definitely a book that's worth having a look at, at the very least.
